You’ve heard the saying, “There\u2019s no such thing as a free lunch.”<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what a new MPulse customer, James, said to me last week.<\/p>\n

James is researching maintenance software\u2014his team still uses mostly paper and pencil. He knows it\u2019s time for a change. So, he did what many maintenance managers before him have done.<\/p>\n

He typed \u201cfree maintenance software\u201d in a Google search box.<\/p>\n

I get it. When you\u2019re new to CMMS programs, you want to test them out. Take it for a test drive, so to speak. And free maintenance software from the Internet seems like an easy way to do that.<\/p>\n

But also like many maintenance managers before him, James discovered that free maintenance software isn\u2019t always what it seems to be\u2014and its hidden costs sometimes mean paying a higher price.<\/p>\n
