Plain-text Body:
IMS Product development news
The VirtualDMIS thermal compensation package now supports the MAXIM DS9490R adaptor. The new module provides support for a range of Dallas Semiconductor Corp., 1-wire™ and iButton™ devices and various accessories.
Existing installations are supported by the new module, and can be retrofitted with minimal modifications.
Questions about the IMS Thermal Compensation package should be directed to product.support@dmis-cmm.com.

Background:
Because CMMs are made from aluminium, steel and other materials they are susceptible to expansion and contraction caused by ambient temperature. Therefore to maintain their performance, CMMs were usually restricted to temperature regulated Quality Labs. The thermal compensation package is designed to improve the performance of CMMs that operate in a production environment.
